31 Days of December, 31 Perfect Looks to Steal

by Matthew T. Murray in $hop, Steal Their Style

Let's just blame it on Gossip Girl. Since that snooty chick started stalking the pretty princesses of the Upper East Side detailing their trials and tribulations, we have grown into a generation twith no qualms with stalking. We can then place blame for this cyber-stalking phenomenon on Instagram and social media as a whole. We follow people and shamelessly stalk their lives. We've all become voyeurs finding an almost-erotic pleasure in observing people's daily rituals, outstanding outfits, and toned bodies and we've come to identify them as #goals. We want to be them. We want to look like them. We want to learn how the f@$% they get that contour.

And while this could be a cause for concern I'll likely explore later in my RAMBLINGS sector, I'm thankful that it has become not only socially acceptable but celebrated for us to stalk. How else would we find outfit inspo for the chilly temps ahead that might freeze the tits off (let's not forget that excruciating Polar Vortex that vaguely resembled a death trap from Saw III)? These street style stars in the slideshow below serve up MAJOR style inspiration that reminds you getting dressed should be fun, even when it's as cold as 12 igloos outside.  Looking cute in winter is no easy feat - but these fashionistas prove that you can look stylish and not catch hyperthermia.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF CHANEL PRE-FALL

by Matthew T. Murray in Sheezus

Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump, and Kyle Richards in CHANEL PRE-FALL 2016 looks

Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump, and Kyle Richards in CHANEL PRE-FALL 2016 looks

Today was a huge day for fashion girls and giddy gays across America. I'm in shock it wasn't a national holiday - one where little girls and young boys with Vogue's stashed under their bed could take off of school and pretend to drink Cosmopolitans in antsy anticipation for the dynamic duo of events yet to unfold. For today was the Chanel pre-fall 2016 runway show and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season premiere.

Karl Lagerfeld conquered Rome along with his Chanel-clad chicks (Bella Hadid and Freja Beha Erichsen paraded down the runway) for the brand's over-the-top Pre-Fall 2016 show. The Chanel woman of this season was chic, but disheveled. She was edgy, but refined. She was highbrow, but also lowbrow. Such is the magic of Chanel in Lagerfeld's hands - read onwards about my affinity for this collection and favorite looks here.

Such is also the magic of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. No really. Lowbrow meets highbrow. Chic meets disheveled (especially when a glass of wine is tossed with reckless abandon across a table). And there's something kicking in your subconscious that makes you want to play a character in this world. Alright, this is a stretch. But come on, it can't be a coincidence that the fashion Gods above bestowed upon us two reasons to worship at their altar. I have been a longtime fan of the Real Housewives. Love it or hate it, these girls come through with the fashunz. Lisa Vanderpump is the princess of pink and never ceases to impress me with her OTT glam. Kyle Richards has so many Chanel bags, she could build a freakin' house out of them. And Yolanda is just the most perfect woman on the planet - she's beautiful on the inside and the outside. And her uterus brought Gigi and Bella into this ugly world, giving it oodles of beauty and inducing boners worldwide.

And because the RHOBH ladies are ab-fab, I Photoshopped my favorite housewives into my fave looks from today's Chanel collection.

HELLO FROM THE HOTLINE BLING

by Matthew T. Murray

Drizzy in Tom Ford. Adele in Burberry. The dream team in what they should be wearing.

Drizzy in Tom Ford. Adele in Burberry. The dream team in what they should be wearing.

It doesn't take Albert Einstein's IQ to track down the parallel between Adele's "Hello" and Drake's "Hotline Bling." The lyricism has the same core: former flames who have changed through the years although Drake's version is packaged with a cha-cha-cha feeling and Adele's is the tearjerker to end all tearjerkers. But then Adele muddied the waters here when she mentioned the song wasn't about reconnecting with an ex-love but about reconnecting with herself. But for the sake of convenience, we'll just pretend she never said that and that the two artists were having cappuccinos discussing music world dominance when they penned their hit songs together.

Now rumors are swirling at the good ole Rumor Mill about the two collaborating on an official Hotline Bling remix. So, I'm pretty much shitting glitter right now. I mean, pray to your Fairy Godmother right this freakin' second and let's make this collab come to fruition. Adele loves Drake, wants to collab, and danced drunk off her ass to 'Hotline Bling' (Adele and I have more in common than I had previously thought). So now, it's time for Drake to give her a call on the cellllphoonnneeee late night ... ok, I'll stop.

But here's one teency weency issue. If they do grant my wish and the collaboration comes to life, we have to talk fashion. Because at The Outfix, I'm all about the best outfit to complement living your best life. And while I was feeling the cherry-red Moncler bomber Drizzy rocked, the grey Granddaddy sweater and Timbs had to GTFO. And Adele's shaggy Muppet coat in 'Hello' wasn't nearly as visually-appealing as the actual Muppets. So, I decided to work my little Photoshop fairy magic and put Drake in something he'd absolutely never wear but would look fucking phresh in - a Tom Ford spring 2014 look - and Adele in a chicer coat that would complement her bombshell body - a Burberry Fall 2013 runway look. Now, these outfits are blinging my hotline wink wink owwww owww!
